A small group of fans combining Trust and WWFC Directors, OWWSA members and other supporters got together on Sunday to start to tackle some of this autumn’s ground maintenance work at Adams Park.
Three Alan’s, Three John’s, David and Harold worked hard for more than 5 hours clearing much of the overgrown bank behind the Home Terrace end of the stadium, using a strimmer, various hand-tools plus some good honest manual labour.
Hopefully you will notice the difference they have made on your next visit.
This work was done voluntarily under the guidance and leadership of Club Director John Derben, whose wife Sandie provided a free sandwich lunch with fruit and biscuits, plus hot and cold drinks for the workers.
This is the type of work that can be done by volunteers as, with the current financial position of the football club, it would probably otherwise not get done.
