Martyn becomes a Trust Director

At our May Board Meeting it was agreed that Martyn Broughton be co-opted onto the Trust Board as an External Director (in accordance with our Rule no. 66) for a three year term, subject to a review at least every twelve months.

Martyn’s first game at Wycombe was on 19 September 2000 v Birmingham City in the Worthington Cup and he became a season ticket holder in 2013. At the same time he also volunteered to manage the finances of the Trust and FALL as Group Treasurer. During the last 7 years he has also advised on and assisted with the Club finances and co-ordinated the audit and statutory accounting across the three companies. He latterly performed a key role in preparing and managing the three businesses for the recent investment by Feliciana. Martyn has been a Director of FALL since 2016.

Martyn has held senior roles and directorships in financial management and control in the hospitality, retail and leisure business and for the last 21 years has run his own consultancy business advising on financial aspects of large and small businesses and charities.

The Trust Board see this background and his long association with all things Wycombe Wanderers as an important specialism as it looks to refocus on its new role of managing the Trusts new responsibilities of share holder, landlord, memorabilia and supporters’ interests. Martyn is 66 years old and now focuses his attention on his growing family, while also working as a Charity Trustee and organiser of the Haddenham Beer Festival as well as his work for the Wycombe Wanderers Trust.
