Legacy Members – Season Ticket Holders 2020-21 Season

The position of Legacy Members in regard to the 2020-2021 season has been the subject of some debate. In order to clarify this, I have set out the position below.

A Legacy Member is someone who is:

A fully paid-up member of the Trust and

A member who holds a season ticket with the Club and who is in at least their fourth consecutive season of so doing. Legacy Members who cease to hold a season ticket cease to be Legacy Members.

This topic was considered at the Trust Board meeting on Thursday 25th February and the following position was agreed by the board.

The 2020/2021 season will be treated as an anomaly and disregarded for the purposes of qualification as a Legacy Member.

This means that if you were registered as a Legacy Member at the end of the 2019/20 season, you will still be a Legacy Member at the end of the 2020/2021 season, regardless of whether you purchased a season ticket for 2020/2021 season or not, subject to you continuing as a fully paid-up member of the Trust.

If you are not currently a Legacy Member, but did buy a season ticket for 2020/2021, that will count as one of your 4 consecutive seasons to enable you to become a Legacy Member.

Whether you decide to leave your season ticket funds in the Club or ask for a full or partial refund, will have no bearing on your Legacy membership qualification.
