Trust Issues Statement on Abuse

Trust condemns all types of abuse

There has been some unacceptable fan behaviour at recent Wycombe matches, culminating in the abuse aimed at Adebayo Akinfenwa at the game vs MK Dons last Saturday.

The Trust board take the view that abuse of any kind, from either home or away fans directed at players, staff, volunteers or fans is totally unacceptable. We agree completely with the statement put out by the EFL on Sunday 30th January and the comments from our Club Chairman Rob Couhig in his letter to season ticket holders dated 31st January.

If you see or hear this type of abuse please report it to club stewards or the Safety team, on 07591 049982. You can remain anonymous if required. It is the responsibility of all of us to take action in order to stamp this out and remove it from our game. There is a special relationship between players, staff and supporters at Wycombe Wanderers and we the Trust, in conjunction with the Club, will do everything we can to ensure this continues.
