CLUB INVITES WYCOMBE MOSQUE GROUP TO DONCASTER GAME

We are delighted to be welcoming representatives from High Wycombe Mosque to Adams Park for Saturday’s League 1 fixture against Doncaster Rovers, which falls on the weekend of the beginning of Ramadan.

The club, together with Wycombe Wanderers Trust and Wycombe Wanderers Sports & Education Trust, have distributed tickets in the Troo Stand to members of the Muslim community across the local area, and will invite 10 children nominated by the mosque to be ball retrievers for the day.

Children from the group will be invited down to the pitch for a half-time lap, while the Imam will prepare a speech to thank the club for its invitation to the game, and the ongoing efforts to foster a greater partnership between the club and mosque. A Halal food truck has been invited to serve in the car park.

The day will also mark the formal opening of a new Multi-Faith Room, which is situated off the Caledonian Suite and will be available for different faiths to use for religious observance on matchdays. The room has been recently renovated and decorated by club volunteers.
