Happy Christmas from the Trust

Happy Christmas

On behalf of the Trust board, I’d like to wish you and all your loved ones a very Happy Christmas. Thank you for all your support and help over the last year, it is greatly appreciated.

The win last Saturday against then top of the table Ipswich, was fantastic and puts us in a great position at Christmas. After 22 games, we’re 7th in the League, 2 points off the play offs and 4 points behind Barnsley, who are 4th. See the table below

Christmas Schedule

As is usual at this time of the year, the games come thick and fast. First up on Boxing day at Adams Park are Bristol Rovers, so make sure you’re there for this one. Then it’s down to Plymouth on Thursday 29th, followed quickly by away to Peterborough on New Year’s Day. As Gareth has said there’s 9 points up for grabs and he’s after them all, if possible.

9/10 from EFL Family Excellence Team

Wycombe Wanderers have achieved a score of 9/10 from the EFL Family Excellence team, following a successful First Visit Report from a ‘mystery shopper’ who attended the League 1 encounter against Morecambe at Adams Park in October.

The report described the club as being “accessible and welcoming”, as well as “on top form”, whilst also highlighting the ease of buying tickets, the “fantastic” welcome they received, and the engagement of the players when meeting fans around the ground.

Particular focus landed on the “outstanding service” given to attendees by the club’s staff, with the reporter commenting “I have been to hundreds of matches all across the UK and Europe, and I can honestly say I have never seen such consistently friendly and helpful stewarding as I saw at Wycombe.

“Clubs can’t control results, they to some extent can’t always massively improve facilities or make matchdays cheaper – but they CAN make you feel welcome, and Wycombe did that in spades. I came away genuinely feeling that every single person at Wycombe Wanderers wanted me and my son to enjoy our day and that they had a vested interest in making that happen. To my mind, there is no greater compliment that can be paid to a club. Superb.

“The strongest feeling I got was of a club rooted in its community, drawing heavily on local families and making sure they had a good day out. I would more than happily attend a Wycombe game in the future and would anticipate enjoying it again.”

The scores given to 12 different touchpoints were all either equal or greater than the marks issued following a similar visit last season, with a 10/10 given to matchday staff:

Trust Table on Boxing Day

Our gazebo will be up in the car park, just close to the entrance to the Caledonian Suite. Please come along and chat to your Trust directors, Lisa Bowker and myself, who will be running the table that day. If you haven’t yet paid your subs, come and do it then and bring along any questions you have about the Club and/or Trust.

We’re also collecting items for One Can Trust, so get in the Christmas spirit and bring something for those less fortunate than yourself.

The QBC Draw will take place at the table at approx. 2.15pm. There will be a lucky winner who will receive at least £750 and over £4300 if the blue ball comes out first.
