The latest winner of the monthly Quarters Ball Club Draw is a long serving employee of the Football club, Gordon Reilly. Gordon is on the right of our picture receiving the good news of his win from Trust Director Chris Harvey.
Like many others, Gordon has been paying into the draw scheme since its start in March 2021 and so it was 20th time lucky today when one of his ball numbers was the first drawn out of the bag, winning the biggest prize yet – £776.
Gordon has been working at the club for 12 years but his connection with Wycombe Wanderers goes way back before then when he was employed by Thames Valley Police. He is currently the Senior Safeguarding Manager but has held various other positions in the club over those years. On matchdays Gordon looks after the security of the tunnel area, the match officials and of the home and away dugout teams.
With his son getting married in France next year, this win will be used to help contribute to that family event but Gordon has said he will also make a charitable donation from his winnings.
With the blue quartered ball NOT being the first drawn out, the bonus will rollover to the December draw, which will take place on Boxing Day at Adams Park. Someone then could win over £4300.
