Russell is a QBC winner and so is a local community cafe

The latest QBC draw was made on Thursday night by a non-involved Trust member and witnessed by those present at Adams Park and those following on Zoom.

The first ball drawn out was number 546, bought by Russell Jones of High Wycombe, pictured here with his family at Wembley last May.

Russell, as well as holding a senior position in commerce, marketing and customer experience, is now into his third year of volunteering as a Trust Director. After being elected in November 2020, he soon took on the Membership Secretary role and is also currently working on finding a better solution to replace our ageing system that struggles to cope with sending so many emails to members.

He attended his first Wanderers game in 1993 and became a Chairboys fan from afar until moving to High Wycombe in 2015.

So Russell, as the 22nd different winner in as many draws, wins our biggest prize so far of £803.20 which he says “I’m splitting my winnings between my kids, and the Hills Cafe which is a not for profit cafe serving the community in Micklefield – something me and my family regularly support as alumni of Ash Hill school. As well as being a great place for a doorstep sandwich and great coffee, they also regularly run free meals for kids in the holidays and work with Red Kite to reduce hunger around and about in the community.”
You can learn more about the Hills Cafe here https://m.facebook.com/100063574930237/ or here https://hillscafe.co.uk/

With the blue quartered ball not being the first ball drawn, the rollover element is carried forward to the February draw. To be in this draw, go to https://wycombewandererstrust.com/home-2020/qbc?_thumbnail_id=15103 and you could be the next £800+ winner or even over £4700. Good luck.
