Iftar at AP – Tuesday 4th April

Wycombe Wanderers Foundation and Wycombe Wanderers Trust were excited to co-promote an Iftar event which took place on Tuesday 4th April at Adams Park.

The event began at 7pm with Maghreb prayers taking place on the Adams Park pitch, followed by a traditional Iftar and Taraweeh in the Caledonian Suite. With places limited, attendees were also bring a prayer mat.

The holy month of Ramadan is an important occasion to the global Muslim community, with an Iftar meal, often a large social gathering, marking the end of each daily fast. Ramadan is a time for reflection, family and community and as such, WWF and WWT were delighted to invite the community to join in the celebration together.

We are committed to breaking down barriers, building cultural awareness and understanding, tolerance and most importantly an inclusive and cohesive community. As such, this event was open to everyone, regardless of faith or background. In respect of the Muslim faith, dress code is conservative, with no shorts permitted and arms and shoulders please covered.

For those celebrating later this month, Ramadan Kareem.
