The June winner of the Quarters Ball Club draw is Cathy Collins from Great Missenden after ball number 498 was the first drawn from the bag this week. Cathy wins £916 which will be a great help as she and her family move their season tickets to the Frank Adams Stand for the coming season.

When given the news of her win, Cathy said “This is incredible news. This never happens to me. I am so excited”
Cathy (a Trust member for 10 years and a QBC participant from the very start in 2021) has been a Wanderers fan since the 2010-11 League Two season when the team under Gary Waddock gained promotion to League One. She and her husband joined their son Will on the terrace for the first time and were soon hooked. She recalls goalie Nikki Bull phoning her up to make sure they came to the game that clinched promotion.
Like many others, Cathy has been through the highs and lows of being a Chairboys supporter, never forgetting THAT win at Torquay in 2014, recalling the deafening roar on the away terrace once survival was achieved. For the promotion clinching game at Chesterfield, Cathy remembers having her eyes screwed shut for the last 10 minutes until the final whistle went. She was “there when Beanie scored” against Carlisle and still has the t-shirt. Other memorable highlights were the Alfie Mawson goal away at Luton (with assist by Paul Hayes) and another game at Kenilworth Road when the match ball was kicked into the away crowd to be caught by her husband Jim, who gave it to two young lads who had not seen much of the game due to everyone standing up.
The Collins family have been at all the recent ‘Wycombe Wanderers at Wembley’ games, except of course the one we won in 2020, with no crowd allowed!
Cathy is reluctant to be photographed as the last time she had one taken with a Wanderers player, he left the next day to sign for another club!
