Wycombe Wanderers Trust are delighted to announce that we have affiliated to #TerraceTalk, a national initiative led by the Football Supporters Association.
The aim of this initiative is to encourage open and honest conversations amongst football supporters about mental health, and to encourage supporters who need them to seek out mental health support services.
A central theme of #TerraceTalk is to also recognise the value that social aspects of the matchday routine provide to fans up and down the country, and to point those who are badly missing the beneficial effects of this routine towards organisations who are able to help them.
You can read all about #Terrace Talk by following this link https://thefsa.org.uk/news/terracetalk-fan-led-campaign-mental-health-campaign-launched/
The Trust are putting together an action group of Wycombe Wanderers supporters to help to publicise this campaign, and to look at ways of supporting fellow Chairboys and Chairgirls who may have mental health issues, both during COVID-19 and generally. If you would like to help us, please contact Peter Lerner by email: [email protected]
We will be passing on information about #TerraceTalk via Twitter and Facebook, and we would really appreciate it if you could help to circulate or retweet those messages. The more we spread the word, the likelier it will be that a fellow supporter will be able to find the help that they need.
Meanwhile, here is a list of organisations with their contact details, who are ready and able to help. Please pass these contact details on.
