Following the dismissal of the Winding Up Petition in the High Court this week, Blues boss Gareth Ainsworth has praised the efforts of the Wycombe Wanderers Trust in helping to raise the money to pay off the outstanding debt to HM Revenue and Customs.
In an interview with Andy Carswell reported in today’s Bucks Free Press, Gaz said that the Trust’s work had enabled him to carry on with team affairs without too many distractions.
Ainsworth said:
“the Trust have been great in keeping those things away from the playing side. I don’t know a great deal about the situation. All I know is having the HMRC off the club is better than it being there and having court hearings There’s a huge transition that we’ve been through and the Trust have handled it well. It gives me more time to concentrate on the playing side.”
There are still a few legal matters to go through but in due course we will update Trust Members on how the Club’s finances have been stabilized.
